What a fantastic 2010 here at Fair Wind Farms! Not only did our one and only stallion: Rhapsody's Aztec Gold become the newly crowned National Grand Champion Over stallion at R Mini Nationals(Shown by trainer: Pete Goettl), but his first two foals entered the show ring. We want to congratulate them all on their accomplishments.

Aztec is a 38 inch, buckskin overo Rock "E" bred stallion that not only has proven himself as a mini, he also has his HOF as a Classic Stallion and is a Reserve Grand Champion Jr Stallion at Congress the one year he showed there.

Aztec's first two foals FW Aztec's Cheyenne and FW Aztecs Laramie have done us all proud. Cheyenne was 2010's unanimous national champion Youth 13-17 with an Over Jr Mare(Sheldon Conrad of Canada owner/showing) and 3rd in Open(Show by Pete Goettl) Laramie gathered 5 grand champion stallion awards before leaving to go to Australia to his new home(King Park Miniatures/Sam Dummett).

In 2011---Laramie was named Supreme Amateur and Open halter horse at the Australian nationals. 3rd in Liberty...many other top 10's in performance.

In 2010, two fillies by Aztec were born and sold to begin their show careers with their new owners. Fair Winds Promise Me Gold(Conrad Family of Canada) and Fair Winds Pure Mayan Gold. Pure Mayan Gold has won 5 grand champion mares so far this year and 2 Champion of Champion titles and Promise Me Gold just won her first two Champion of Champions. Look for them with their trainer: Pete Goettl of Marystown Miniatures. Several foals will be available in 2011/2012 by Aztec and our beautiful band of mares....many arenosa bred, most with show careers themselves.
